Image To Excel

This document will explain you how to create a simple Zappy automation task to get the contents from image into excel sheet.

To accomplish this, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Take any image which contains some text.

Step 2: Right click on Zappy icon at bottom right corner of your window and select Task Editor.

Step 3: Click on Open folder and select ImageToExcel.zappy task, click on Open as shown. You will find this file in your samples folder i.e., ZappyAdditionalSamples folder.

Step 4: Click on Input Box action and set the properties based on your requirement. Input Box accepts input from the user. PromptText indicates what the user is expected to enter.

Step 5: Click on Clean Up Image action and set the required properties as shown.(upload://4nhGF14l9WXV1nFacCIto09Ws2e.png)

To set the ImagePath , click on 3 dots and set the reference of Input Box Value .

From Variable select the Input Box action and then set the reference of Value .

Step 6: Click on Ocr To Text attribute and set required properties.

To set the ImagePath , click on 3 dots and set the reference of Clean Up Image value’s Path .

From Variable dropdown select the Cleapnup Image action and then set the reference of Path .strong text

Step 7: Click on String To String Array action and set required properties.

To set the Text , click on 3 dots and set the reference of Ocr To Text from Variable then set the reference of Text .

Step 8: Click on String Array To DataTable action and set required properties.

To set the InputStringArray , click on 3 dots and set the reference of String Array To DataTable from Variable and then set the reference of StringArray .

Step 9: Click on DataTable To Excel action and set required properties.

To set the DataTable , click on 3 dots and set the reference of String To String Array from Variable and then set the reference of DataTable .

Set the remaining properties , If you want the excel file, you can set SaveExcel as True otherwise set as False . Also you need to give the path to save the excel file.

Step 10: Click on Executeimage

Step 11: Give image path and click on ok button.

Step 12: You can see “Successfully Executed Task” message from Zappy on successful execution.
