ZAPPY is a desktop automation application which we have used to create salary slip & mail it to our employees.
Below is an example of ZAPPY Excel Automation i.e., copying data from excel sheet & pasting it into salary slip.
To create your own automation task using ZAPPY, follow the steps below.
Create Excel sheet:
We have created excel sheet with salary slip fields.You can create/ open an excel sheet with the fields you want.
2.Take salary Slip form .exe file.
We generate .exe file using C# WinForms application.
You can use your own form.
3 Start Learning:
Right click on ZAPPY icon and start Learning
Copy first row of each field from excel sheet & paste it in corresponding form field.
Now click on send button & Keep your curser on first column of next row.
After copy pasting all the fields right click on ZAPPY icon & select stop learning option from ZAPPY Context Menu.
5 Right click on Z icon:
Z icon appears on top of salary form window after clicking on Stop Learning.
Right click on Z and select all LearnedActivities . Now, from drop down list select how many times you want to run the task & Click on Run.
After running LearnedActivities, you will see CustomActivity displayed in ZAPPY Context menu.
Select all CustomActivities
In CustomActivity , ZAPPY automatically adds For Loop Start & For Loop End.
Then click on Open OnTask Editor Icon
Once you click on Open on task editor icon (as shown above) task editor opens. By default initial value will be the position of the curser. You can change For Loop Final Value as per your requirement.
6.Save Custom Activity task.
- Click on save button on ZAPPY menu script.
- After clicking save Button select file location where you want to save the task & name it (File Extension is .ZAPPY ).
Now you can Run task by clicking on Execute button.
Once you click on Execute Button Task Editor window is closed and ZAPPY will start transferring data from Excel sheet to Salary slip Form automatically.
If you select print option instead of send, you can print all the salary slips automatically saved in Local Disk (C:) of your PC.
